Real Estate for People Who Hate Realtors

by Sharon Elsberry

If the word "realtor" makes your stomach turn, I understand.

Maybe you’ve dealt with someone who was more focused on the sale than on you. Maybe they talked over you, made assumptions, or didn't seem to care what you actually needed. Or maybe you've just never met one who felt like a safe person to talk to. Real estate has a reputation, and not all of it is wrong.

But here's the truth. Buying or selling a home is a big deal. It's emotional, personal, and full of decisions that carry real weight. You deserve someone who respects that. Someone who knows what it's like to be in the thick of it and isn't just there to close a deal.

I didn't become a real estate agent because it sounded glamorous. I became one because I've lived it. I inherited my first home at seventeen when my mom died. Since then, I've bought and sold four more. I've rented out homes while raising kids, dealt with emergency repairs, fought with HOAs, and moved across the country more than once.

I know what it's like to stand in a hallway full of boxes and not know what's coming next. I know what it's like to feel the pressure to get it right. And I know how rare it is to find someone in this industry who really listens. That's why I do things differently.

There's no pressure here. No sales scripts. No pushing you to move faster than you're ready for. Whether you're facing probate, navigating a divorce, helping a parent downsize, or just trying to figure out if it's time to make a move, I'll meet you where you are. We can take it one step at a time.

You don't have to like realtors. You just need the right one in your corner.

Not sure where to start? Let’s talk it through.

You'll lead the conversation. I'll listen. And we'll figure out what's next - together.
