Why I Help Families With Probate and Life Transitions

by Sharon Elsberry

If you’re here, you’re probably dealing with something you never expected: a loved one has passed away, and now you’re left with their home - and a lot of questions.

Honestly? I’ve been there. My dad died when I was nine. I watched my mom (who was barely more than a kid herself) try to figure out what to do next. Then, just before my 18th birthday, I lost my mom too. Suddenly, I was the one making the decisions. It was overwhelming, confusing, and lonely.

That’s why I do what I do.

I’m not just a real estate agent. I’m someone who’s walked this road and knows how tough it is. When you’re grieving, the last thing you want is a pushy salesperson or a bunch of legal talk you don’t understand. You want someone who will listen, explain things in plain English, and give you space to breathe.

Here’s what you can expect from me:

  • Real empathy. I care about your story, not just your transaction.

  • No jargon. I’ll explain the steps, answer your questions, and never make you feel silly for asking.

  • Local know-how. I not only work here, but have raised my own family here.

  • A network of helpers. Need a good attorney, a clean-out crew, or just someone to answer, “What do I do next?” I’m here to help.

You don’t have to do this alone. If you’re feeling lost, reach out. I promise to treat you like family, not a number.

This post is just my story and my approach. For legal advice, please talk to a qualified attorney.
